Seal the Read
How a Read closes. When you seal it, the normalized metrics and the stored files are destroyed at 30 days and a destruction certificate issues. On the Portfolio plan you can keep the Read open instead and monitor the company after close.
Why it matters
Retention is legal-grade copy, and it has to match what actually happens. A Read does not linger by default. When the deal team is done they seal it, the clock starts, and the destruction is certified. The exception is deliberate: an investor who wants to keep watching a company after close can, on the Portfolio plan, keep the Read open instead.
How Zoe reads it
Sealing is the step the customer takes when they close a Read. From that point the normalized metrics and the stored files are destroyed at 30 days and a destruction certificate is issued to the grantor, the company contact, with a copy kept for the investor. On the Portfolio plan the Read can stay open and Zoe keeps reading the connected systems until it is sealed.
